The Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce is now accepting vendor applications from Young Entrepreneurs to participate in The Daisy Shoppe at Clarendon Hills Daisy Days!
Daisy Days has been a Clarendon Hills tradition since 1964. Held on the second weekend of June, its modern form it includes a Kiddie Carnival, and Entertainment for young and old alike.
What: This year 2024 marks the Clarendon Hills Centennial, and the Clarendon Hills Chamber is hosting the Daisy Shoppe, a marketplace for Young Entrepreneurs, to celebrate not only the history of our village, but also our future. We look forward to planting the seed of entrepreneurship in hopes that the next generation will learn that along with hard work, the rewards of running one’s own business.
Who: The Daisy Shoppe application is open to all young entrepreneurs. While geared towards entrepreneurs under the age of 18, older vendors will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
When: Saturday June 15, 2024 from 11am-3pm
Where: In Clarendon Hills, at the Village Hall Plaza located at 1 N. Prospect.
What to sell: Anything! While handmade goods are favored, all applications will be considered. If you are considering baked goods or food, please note that proof of registration with the DuPage County Health Department as a Cottage Food Operator is required. Application and Vendor Fee: Due to the limited space and availability, and application/vendor fee of $25 is required to commit to participating in the event. This fee is non-refundable.
The Chamber will provide: one 6’ table and two chairs for each vendor.
The vendor is expected: to participate 1) with a parent or guardian present, 2) with a completed, decorated table with a banner and/or poster for the full allotted time, 3) be prepared in case of inclement weather.
Other Considerations: The Village Hall Plaza does not have shade or shelter. It is recommended that vendors bring a 10x10 tent for shade. Due to the open space, it can get windy and tents will need to be properly weighted when set up. If shopping for a tent, we recommend something similar to this with weights included.
